Dear Karen,

Yesterday morning didn't start particularly well.

I woke up already behind myself. Tired in that foggy way where your body feels heavy but your mind won't quite land anywhere. Nothing dramatic. Just that low-grade flatness that makes even simple decisions feel bigger than they should.

So today, I want to share what happened next. Because somewhere between making coffee and standing at the counter staring out the window, something subtle shifted. And it reminded me of what I see all the time in the women I work with.

Affirmation: I don't need to have it all figured out to take the next kind step forward.

The morning that taught me about forward.

I stayed in bed longer than planned. Scrolled a little. Listened to the quiet sounds of the house waking up.

Eventually, hunger (and responsibility) won, and I shuffled into the kitchen to start the day.

And somewhere between making coffee and standing at the counter staring out the window, I noticed something shift.

Not motivation. Not a breakthrough.

Just a little more space.

What actually helps when you feel stuck.

I didn't suddenly solve anything. I didn't map out my week or find clarity about the next big step.

I simply did the next kind thing for myself. Then the next one. And my nervous system seemed to say, Oh. We're safe enough to keep going.

It reminded me of something I see all the time in the women I work with, especially nurse coaches and nursepreneurs who are used to holding everything together.

We think change requires a big plan, more effort, or finally figuring it out.

But what actually helps is often simpler.

A small reset. A pause. A conversation. Someone helping you see what's already there without asking you to become someone else first.

What this means for you.

If you're feeling a little flat, a little stuck, or quietly questioning your next step, there's nothing wrong with you.

Sometimes it's not about pushing forward.

It's about creating the conditions where forward movement feels possible again.

That's also why I love working 1:1.

These conversations are about slowing down enough to listen. To your strengths, your patterns, your capacity, your truth. So your next step comes from alignment instead of pressure.

Coach Yourself

  • What small, kind thing could you do for yourself today that doesn't require a plan or a breakthrough?
  • Where in your life or business are you waiting to "figure it all out" before taking the next step?
  • What would it feel like to create just a little more space instead of pushing harder?

If you've been circling something in your mind, if you feel that gentle pull of "I think I want support, but I don't know what that looks like yet," I currently have a few openings for private 1:1 coaching.

No rush. No pressure. Just an open door. You can reach out with questions or book a time that works for you.

Sometimes even naming what's been heavy is enough to create that first small reset.

And that's more than enough for today.

With love,
Karen

PS: If you've been thinking about coaching but wondering if it's the right time, that wondering is usually the signal. You don't need to have everything sorted before reaching out. That's exactly what we'll work on together.
